The Hoodland Women’s Club (HWC) is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s scholarships, made possible through the proceeds from our annual golf tournament and auction. Each scholarship is valued at $2,500 and is awarded to four deserving high school graduates residing within the Hoodland community boundaries, from Alder Creek to Government Camp.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the following local high school students who have been awarded the HWC scholarships for their college education: Madison Benson, attending Mt. Hood Community College to complete the Nursing Program; Sophie Eaton, attending University of Oregon, majoring in Political Science; Isaiah Gerhardt, attending Southern Oregon University, majoring in Digital Media and Business; and Dahlena U’Ren, attending Washington State University, majoring in Neuroscience.
These students have shown exceptional dedication and hard work to reach this milestone, and we wish them the very best as they embark on their educational journeys.
A big thank you to our community for your continued support of our golf tournament, which enables us to provide these scholarships. Your contributions make a significant difference in the lives of our local students.
In addition to the high school scholarships, we are also offering between a $500 and $2,500 professional development scholarship for adults living within the Hoodland community boundaries. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is August 31, 2025.
